In the Israel of the nineties, Sami is the young son of Jewish Tunisian immigrants. Sami feels belittled by the attention lavished on his younger brother, Yudeh. One day the father insists that Sami take his brother to a movie. What follows will profoundly alter the two boys forever.

Ariel Pariente is a young director who has experience with informal education. As a child, he grew up in small and rough town, attended a religious school (yeshiva) and later studied at the Ma’aleh School, specializing in directing and editing. These days he is developing a board game inspired by Jewish mythology. Ariel lives in the center of Israel, with his wife and daughter, and works as a freelance director and editor.
